VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Awards
8am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday
Volunteer will assist in handing out awards to winning athletics. This booth has some shade and is located next to the stage, north of the pier.
Volunteers must be 16 and over. All volunteers must sign a release form. Those under 18, must have a parent or guardian signature.
Each volunteer is requested to work at least a 4 hour shift (we will attempt to accommodate deviations). Volunteers receive one coupon for an event t-shirt, as well as a bright-colored Results Team t-shirt to wear during their shifts (limit one of each for the weekend, even if working both days).
Ducks
8am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday
Volunteers will sell ducks, taking customer's money in exchange for a duck and entry form. Customer will decorate the duck and complete the entry form. The customer will then return both to volunteer for entry into the Duck race on Sunday afternoon. This area is in the SAND located on south side of the pier and is shaded. Please note: Sometimes due to beach conditions (Erosion, high tides etc..) access to the back to the Duck Booth to has been challenging in past years. Please take this in consideration before signing up.

Finish Line
8am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday
Volunteers will assist in coordinating the start and finish of water events, crowd control and logistics. This is a busy area in the sun, at the water's edge. Volunteers must be punctual and able to tolerate the sun. It is extremely important that volunteers do not leave until they have been relieved or have notified Finish Line coordinator.

Food Court
10am - 7pm Saturday and Sunday
This Area is directed by the Fisherman's Restaurant. The Ocean Festival provides volunteers to assist in food distribution during the festival and Saturday night BBQ (4pm -7pm). This is a fast paced area.

Lifeguard Pancake Breakfast
7am - 11am Saturday and Sunday

Logistics
8am - 4pm Friday, 6am - 6pm Saturday, and 6am - 6pm Sunday
This is set up of the event (booths, Sign/banners, stage,etc.). Should be physical and enjoy working in the sun. Some crowd control during the day. Sunday is take-down starting at 3:00pm.

Product Sales (T-Shirts)
7am - 8pm Saturday and 7am to 7pm Sunday
This is a very busy booth. Early morning shift requires ability to lift boxes. Volunteers will assist in sorting product,restocking inventory and selling product. This booth is located at the base of the pier. This area is shaded.

Registration
6am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday
Volunteers register all athletes, collect registration fee- mark registration numbers on athletics' arm and distribute goodie bags. This is a very busy area- located at the picnic shelter north of the pier.

Results
7:30am - 4:45pm Saturday and 7:30am - 3:30pm Sunday
Volunteers work in conjunction with our electronic timing division to create a manual back-up of the athletes' race as they cross the finish line. As with any Finish Line, this area is action-packed & fast-paced. Volunteers are positioned on the finish line, which is on the beach, in the sand, and sometimes at the water's edge. Our Volunteers partner together to closely watch, listen, write, clarify information with athletes, and generally cheer the competitors on as they celebrate the completion of their race. Note: Sunday's volunteers also facilitate the additional safety registration and wrist-banding of our swimmers before they enter the ocean.

Sand Sculpting
6am - 2pm Sunday

Volunteer Check-In
6am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday
Workers will check off volunteer's name as they check-in to work their shift and make adjustments to the schedule if necessary. This both is located adjacent to the picnic shelter on the North side of the pier.

Youth Pavilion
8am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday
Volunteers will assist children with crafts activities and games. This area is located on the south side of the pier and has some shade.
Volunteers must be 16 and over. All volunteers must sign a release form. Those under 18, must have a parent or guardian signature.
